As a INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) at the GS-2210-12 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Serve as the designated JCSE Information Systems Security Officer performing work to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data through the planning, analysis, development, implementation maintenance, and enhancement of information systems security programs, policies, procedures, and tools.
Apply Information Technology (IT) security principles, methods, and security products to protect and maintain the availability, integrity, confidentiality, and accountability of information system resources and information processed throughout the system's life cycle.
Actively participates in administering the JCSE Cybersecurity Program.
Participate in administering the JCSE Cybersecurity Incident Response and Prevention Program.
Administer the JCSE Vulnerability Management Program.

- This is a cybersecurity position. The employee must attain and maintain the appropriate DoD approved cybersecurity baseline Certificate(s)
- Travel and relocation expenses, if approved, will be paid IAW JTR and AFMAN 36-606
Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS 12 level , if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service as listed below:
Establishing and publishing element-wide policy to manage the cybersecurity program and providing advice and guidance in its implementation and in procedures used in the development and operation of systems.
Analyzing threats and vulnerabilities in information systems to maintain an appropriate level of protection.
Establishing procedures to control access to prevent unauthorized persons from using network facilities.
