As a Program Support Assistant in the Administrative Section of the Engineering Service, the incumbent does a variety of clerical work as it pertains to the general mission of the Engineering Service, with a primary emphasis on overseeing the work order/preventative maintenance (PM) program and servicing as backup support for the Budget and Fiscal Clerk. The incumbent will assist in the training of assigned staff on the FLITE database usage and modification in the replacement of the AEMS/MERS.
Duties
The incumbent will provide support at the Atlanta VAMC and may be required to provide support to all Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCS), Trinka Davis Veterans Village in Carrollton, GA and the Ft. McPherson campus. Valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications
Responsible for
Complex work orders and requests for medical center supplies and material
Prepares all reports and summaries of maintenance and repair cost data
Tracks and trend issues related to the program
Maintain program records and all policies/procedures manuals to meet The Joint Commission and VHA standards
Maintains a calendar of meetings, conference calls, and scheduled leave as well as coordinate meetings, prepares travel documents, and schedules conferences
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 01/22/2024.Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-07 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-06. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade.
You may qualify based on your experience as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-06 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: preparing memorandums, minutes, reports, policy provisions, and power point presentations, maintaining files, interacting with administrative and clinical staff, and performing duties involving medical terminology, budgeting, polices, and procedures.

Physical Requirements: Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, lifting, and carrying of light items 30% or more of the time. The work is typically performed in an office environment. The work involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions.
