About the Position: Serve as the Military Personnel Technician in support of a personnel actions and services team consisting of a specific group or specialty branch. Position is located at Human Resources Command (HRC), Reserve Personnel Management Directorate-Health Services Division at Fort Knox, Kentucky.

Duties

Processes all personnel and administrative actions pertaining to administrative programs and provides recommendations of compliance. Corrects errors in grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Refers to dictionaries, style manuals, and stablished policy and procedural manuals to insure organizational compliance. Assists in clerical, statistical, and data entry tasks in support of administrative programs utilizing a personal computer and HR systems. Demonstrate courtesy, tact and good judgment to provide effective customer service and assistance to the managed population. Composes replies to a variety of complex inquires pertaining to personnel support for officers serving in the Army or its Reserve Components.

Requirements

  • Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance.
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Position requires occasional travel away from the normal duty station up to 10%.

Duties require a general familiarity with the laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures and precedents related to the Army Reserve personnel actions and services.
