You will serve as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist in the Aircraft Carrier Program, Life Cycle Logistics of PROGRAM EXECUTIVE OFFICE CARRIERS.

Duties

You will be the lead in executing and monitoring over-arching policy and regulations under Title X authority ensuring high-quality, actionable results for USS Nimitz and USS Gerald R. Ford Class Aircraft Carriers. You will exercise accountability in project management through all phases of system acquisition, sustainment, and disposal ensuring these systems are delivered to the warfighter as required and remain supportable throughout the life-cycle. You will manage, plan, and execute efforts required to ensure proper Logistics Management Support for Aircraft Carrier Programs including New Construction (NEWCON), Refueling Complex Overhaul (RCOH), In-service, and Inactivation / Disposal. You will lead the way in defining Product Support policies, establishment of strategic goals, management of milestones and tactical implementation supporting both intermediate and end-item products. You will analyze, communicate, and coordinate Aircraft Carrier Product Support issues with applicable activities supporting program offices. You will work with PMS 312 and PMS 378 Program Managers to validate appropriate outfitting and technical data in support of on time ship delivery from CNO availabilities, RCOH, and new construction. You will serve as PEO Carriers representative in DASN level working groups, advise Flag/SES leadership on broad Navy and Department of Defense (DoD) activities supporting acquisition and sustainment. You will support Joint Forces initiatives in the evaluation of platform metrics and assessment of system sustainability and supportability.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13 equivalency) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: leading logistics management functions (e.g., product support programs, developing or executing acquisition plans, identifying resource requirements, monitoring operations and funds distribution, etc.) in support of aircraft carrier acquisition program.
