This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Duties

Develop accreditation packages for systems networks, reviews and evaluates the security impact of system changes upon the networks and computers within their area of responsibility. Serve as the Information Assurance Security Manager (IASM) in accordance with (IAW) Public Law, U.S. Government, DoD and U.S. Army regulation and policy to provide the required Network Defense-In-Depth for the PM/PL and its customers. Implement standard operating procedures, software, controls promoting awareness of security issues among management, and ensures that sound security principles are part of the organization's vision and goals to ensure appropriate levels of security. Work with other security officers, users, computer operators, and other support personnel to ensure security regulations are followed, and that installation, command, and agency security standards are met.

This is a DoD Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (AcqDemo) position in the NH-03 broadband with an advertised pay range from the lowest equivalent GS 12 grade Step 1 to the highest equivalent GS 13 grade step 10 in the broadband. Applying knowledge of risk management framework This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02) or GS-11.
