Duties
You will monitor radio traffic relative to PSNS and IMF areas throughout Navy Region Northwest, assess the information and make a determination as to which additional notifications need to be made based on written procedures and guidelines.
You will maintain official records; legible penmanship is required in documenting information in daily activity communication's logs.
You will remain alert and attentive to provide continuous monitoring of CCTV display monitors, AACS/IDS terminal, and dedicated radio channels.
Requirements

- This position may be subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

Qualifications
GS-06 Level: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Operate information systems and/or software applications, such as word processing, spreadsheets, automated research tools, database applications, and the Internet. Remain alert and attentive to provide continuous monitoring of computerized alarm monitoring systems, CCTV systems and radio communication equipment/systems. Convey verbal and written information in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audience, using correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Clearly and effectively articulate, present, and promote varied ideas and issues, to include sensitive or controversial topics. Work tactfully, cooperatively and successfully with managers and other employees and have established reputation for integrity, reliability and trustworthiness. Demonstrate initiative and ability to independently carry out recurring work assignments and those covered by procedures and seek assistance on deviations, problems or unfamiliar situations that arise. Demonstrate specialized experience with Automated Access Control System (AACS) or Alarm Monitoring Systems (i.e. ADT) and CCTV video monitoring systems. Demonstrate specialized experience in multi-line telephone systems or multi-channel radio communication system. Demonstrate familiarity with basic concepts and principles of Physical Security, Antiterrorism or Law Enforcement programs.
