You will serve as a Supervisory Traffic Management Specialist in the Household Goods/ Personal Property Shipping Office of NAVSUP FLC NORVA GF.
Duties
You will prepare, process, counsel, and control administrative requirements associated with the shipment, receipt, delivery, and/or storage of personal property for authorized clients.
You will be responsible for the efficient and economical transportation, and storage of personal property using government contracted carriers.
You will review orders and determine the extent of entitlements and eligibility for the shipment, drayage or temporary/non-temporary storage of household goods at government expense.
You will ensure the work of TSPs and/or contractors engaged in the physical handling and movement of household goods comply with applicable service tenders, solicitations, contract specifications, and other government regulations.
You will plan work to be accomplished, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare work completion schedules.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- This position is considered Key/Non-Combat Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support of the expeditionary requirements in other than combat or combat support situations.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized Traffic Management Specialist experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating preparation, processing, counseling, and control of administrative requirements associated with the shipment, receipt, delivery, and/or storage of personal property for authorized clients. Specific work experience must demonstrate the following duties: 1) Assisting military and civilian Department of Defense (DoD) employees with the shipment of personal and household goods during permanent change of station, separation, retirement, and/or temporary duty (TDY); 2) Monitoring carrier performance and evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of the operation; 3) Counselling employees on their entitlements and providing advisory services to customers and managers on policies, capabilities, services, and procedures; and 4) Planning work to be accomplished, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare work completion schedules.

- I have successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree in accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, or other fields related to the position.
- I have successfully completed two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree in accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, or other fields related to the position.

- I possess a certificate as a Certified Member, American Society of Transportation and Logistics.
