You will serve as a TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.
Duties
You will develop transportation plans and policies in support of Navy commands.
You will provide recommendations for the most optimal use of Information Technology solutions.
You will provide technical advice to program/project managers in planning transportation of systems.
You will serve as a point of contact for worldwide Navy activities in providing solutions to transportation shipper systems and problems involving all modes of transportation.
You will provide on-site training and assistance to all Navy commands requiring assistance with transportation operations and systems, primarily Global Freight Management and the Third-Party Payment System known as Syncada.
You will monitor the timely approval of carrier invoices by Navy Transportation Officers (TO) worldwide and timely certification of Syncada monthly invoices and contact the TO's when they are delinquent to expedite approval/certification.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Knowledge in the approval and certification of Navy payments to Transportation Service Providers via the use of the Third-Party Payment System aka Syncada;
2) Planning, supporting, implementing, and improving transportation operations;
3) Providing recommendations for optimal use of information Technology solutions/uses to improve transportation officer performance in documentation preparation, carrier selection, and movement of cargo for all modes of transportation;
4) Reviewing, interpreting and commenting on proposed policy directives;
5) Preparing comprehensive written reports, briefing findings and observations, and providing recommendations for improving transportation operations to upper management.
