About the Position: This position serves in the S-4, Logistics Division of the assigned U.S. Army Recruiting Command (USAREC) brigade (BDE) structure, preparing and recommending supplemental policy and program instructions in regard to logistical support operation such as supply, facilities and transportation.

Duties

Oversee the management a logistical service support agreement program on behalf of the battalion. Recommends supplemental program instruction affecting logistical support operations in a variety of focal areas. Utilize automated systems to maintain supply accountability. Prepares supplemental logistics policy and program instruction. Prepares cost avoidance analysis associated with multiple potential areas of support. Conducts inspections on established logistical programs (i.e. Supply Discipline Program (CSDP) within organization to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Manage performance of Battalion (BN) logistical functions to include vehicle management, facility management, and supply work.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) is required and may be up to 25%.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
