About the Position: This position is located with the Directorate of Public Works -Business OPS/Integration Division, Work Management Branch on Fort Campbell, KY. Fort Campbell lies on the Kentucky/Tennessee border between Hopkinsville, KY & Clarksville, TN about 45 miles NW of Nashville.

Duties

Distribute workload and establish work priorities to a team of engineering technicians. Analyze organization functional areas to determine whether the facilities engineering service(s) should be provided by Directorate of Public Works, a commercial/ industrial source, or from another federal/government agency. Use engineering principles and costing techniques to develop, evaluate and modify engineering work performance standards to accomplish facility maintenance, repairs and utility operations. Apply engineering principles to improve the space utilization for people, furnishings and equipment to achieve an economical and efficient functional layout. Oversee and ensure the accuracy of data entered into the General Funds Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) throughout the work management cycle. Manage Demand Maintenance Orders (DMO's) and engineer services annually.

Requirements

  • This is an inclement weather position. The incumbent is expected to make every attempt to report for duty on time and/or remain on duty during inclement weather conditions.
  • This position requires the use/wear of Personal Protective Equipment.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: AccountabilityCustomer Service (Clerical/Technical)Engineering and TechnologyLeadership Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-10). NOTE: To support the Advancement requirement you MUST submit a copy of your latest non-award SF-50/NPA that reflects your highest grade held on a permanent basis along with your application/resume package. Failure to do so may affect your rating or consideration for employment.
