About the Position: Serves as a senior Management Analyst providing advanced force structure analysis for the Combined Arms Center's (CAC), Fielded Force Integration Directorate (FFID).
Duties
Serves as a senior Management Analyst providing advanced force structure analysis for the Combined Arms Center's (CAC), Fielded Force Integration Directorate (FFID).
Duties include developing, maintaining, and managing force structure, force integration, force modernization, and capability development as TRADOC's centralized manager for Army organizations at echelons above brigade (EAB).
Recommends and prioritizes organizational design solutions in support of Total Army Analysis (TAA).
Provides technical and functional expertise on EAB personnel and equipment requirements.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance and access.
- Incumbent may be required to perform Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) not to exceed 15% of the time.

NOTE: This position is a developmental position and may be filled at the GS-11, GS-12, or GS-13 level. If selected at the GS-11 or GS-12 level the incumbent may be non-competitively promoted pending time-in-grade requirements and demonstrated ability to perform the next level/grade duties. The full performance level for this position is GS-13.
GS-11 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques in determining the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations AND 2) Using program concepts and doctrine to analyze, plan and provide subject matter expertise to develop programs, modeling, and database analysis capabilities development. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Analytics. Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
GS-12 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Applying analytical methods and procedures to conduct studies, analyze findings, and make recommendations on substantive issues affecting force design AND 2) Utilizing expertise of the major issues, program goals/ objectives, and operations of the Force Structure System, decision methods, and alternative approaches to achieve required mission objectives. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Education: For the GS-12 level, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
GS-13 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Developing, maintaining, and managing force structure, force integration, force modernization, and capability development for organizations at echelons above brigade (EAB); such as Division, Corps, Theater Army, Field Army AND 2) Developing and executing projects that include force design updates, resourcing strategies, and documentation of organizational requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Education: For the GS-13 level, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Time in Grade Requirement for GS-13: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
Time in Grade Requirement for GS-12: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
Time in Grade Requirement for GS-11: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
