About the Position: Serves as a Branch Chief working under the minimal supervision of a United States Force Management Support Agency (USAFMSA) Division Chief responsible for the development and maintenance of Force Documentation including Tables of Organization and Equipment (TOEs), Basis of Issue Plans (BOIPs), Manpower Requirements Criteria (MARC), and Augmentation Tables of Allowance and Distribution (AUG TDAs).

Duties

Serves as a subject matter expert in Force Management matters responsible for the development and maintenance of Force Documentation. Provide guidance to community of interest, including Army Commands, Direct Reporting Units (DRU), TRADOC proponents, organizational integrators (OI), command managers, synchronization staff officer (SSO) Program Managers. Advise on a wide variety of technical, automation, and professional areas such as planning, organizational effectiveness, system development, and all aspects of the Army's system for organizing, training, manning, and equipping the force. Address individual development needs of employees and aligns performance expectations with organizational goals that achieve measurable results. Oversee the work of technical professional employees involved in the development and maintenance of force documentation. Review force designs as received from the Army Capabilities Integration Center (ARCIC) Force Design Directorate (FDD), TRADOC, to ensure compliance with leadership decisions, and that rules are established to support the new designs. Provide technical advice and guidance on the planning, programming, and technical methodologies for the implementation and functioning of force documentation. Assist TRADOC and HQDA staff elements in the analysis of problems and situations involving issues of Army wide scope and depth.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance throughout the duration of employment.
  • Temporary duty (TDY), approximately 25% of the time.
  • May be required to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime.
