You will serve as a Program Analyst in the Surface Ship Modernization Program Office of NAVSEA HQ FIELD SUPPORT.
Duties
You will evaluate program accomplishments, effectiveness, and/or compliance with meeting specific goals, objectives, rules, and regulations.
You will locally manage and coordinate all aspects of the PEO Ships Program Manger Rep (PMR) Program within the Pearl Harbor, HI site.
You will initiate engineering investigations as required ensuring Life Cycle and Ship Class-wide issues in support of possible Alterations development and Ship Class advisories under the auspices of SEA21.
You will act as the liaison for SEA 21 and supports the established infrastructure for all In-Service Ships.
You will maintain a close working relationship with Hawaii Regional Maintenance Center (RMC) to facilitate strong communication between the waterfront communities and NAVSEA appropriate sponsors.
You will attend meetings/conferences when required, representing NAVSEA.
You will negotiate effectively with management to accept and implement recommendations that may involve agency resources or require changes in established procedures.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band NH-02 (GS-11 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing and/or managing acquisition activities (e.g., contracts, resources, scheduling, studies, etc.) for the modernization or in-service support of a ship program.
