About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25.

Duties

Serve as a frequency actions officer within the Army Frequency Management Office, United States and Possessions (AFMO-USP). Review radio frequency applications for accuracy of technical and geographic information, appropriate band of operation as specified by the International Telecommunications Union and National Tables of Frequency Allocations. Use of spectrum dependent materiel, and expected degree of electromagnetic compatibility with other equipment operating within radio interference range. Select specific operating frequencies from throughout the allocated electromagnetic spectrum for Army and joint tactical training exercises, Reserve and National Guard Coordinate and negotiate frequency usage with Army frequency managers at the installation, higher headquarters, other DOD components and federal agencies. Review technical and operational information contained in proposals by DOD and non-DOD government agencies for use of frequencies within AFMO-USP area of responsibility.
