About the Position: You will serve as the technical authority to the Office of the Provost Marshal General (OPMG), Chief, Personnel and Resources Management Division (PRMD) for assigned policy issues within the PMG.

Duties

Formulate and present annual and multi-year budgets in support of overall mission of the organization. Ensure that all phases of the budgetary process are accomplished in accordance with governmental law, regulations, policies, and procedures. Distribute funds to throughout Agency and organization to ensure such distribution is in accordance with Agency and organization guidance. Ensures clear and concise narratives are included to justify and support budget estimates. Develop and maintain a professional rapport/liaison with counterparts within organization and outside agencies. Attend a variety of budget program reviews to respond to requests to defend resource requirements. Attend seminars, conferences and meetings within the organization and outside agencies to remain current on financial management issues. Analyze a variety of program and management issues and other administrative actions for impact on the strategic goals and objectives. Identifies actual or potential problem areas, trends, and areas of significant program deficiencies. Evaluate alternative proposals or corrective remedies for current and planned programs, Conduct detailed mid-year and year-end reviews of current and projected fund status.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must complete and submit a SF-312, Classified Information Nondisclosure Agreement (NDA).
  • Must submit an initial and annual OGE-450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report.
  • Position is subject to pre-employment and periodic urinalysis exams.
  • Position requires a SECRET clearance be obtained.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Budget Formulation, Justification and PresentationOral CommunicationProgram Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-???????13).
