The Program Support Assistant (PSA) will be assigned to the Multi-Disciplinary Specialty Team within the Environmental Management Services and will be responsible for a variety of administrative and programmatic support functions to be handled in a manner to enhance the efficiency and flow of the service from a clinical and operational perspective.
Duties
Duties include but are not limited to:
Timekeeper / Timekeeping duties (VATAS)
Develops and updates internal standard operating procedures, regulations and policies
Compiles and prepares a wide variety of continuous narrative reports from maintained records
Performs clerical forms for personnel and Human Resources
Maintains and tracks internal and external correspondence
Ordering departmental supplies
Departmental point of contact for service recovery for complaints
Completes internal Environment Of Care (EOC) rounding and is liaison for external EOC group rounds.
Addresses all employee and public relations matters.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 01/19/2024.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS 6 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS 4. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-05) in the Federal Service, that is directly related to the work of the position and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties. Specialized experience includes but is not limited to; Knowledge of an extensive body of management and/or program analysis, technical rules, guidelines, regulations and precedents, and knowledge of the basic objectives and policies governing various management or program operations is required; knowledge and skill to operate a typewriter, personal computer, word processor providing clerical and administrative support in an office setting; using various office software such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; creating and generating reports; coordinating, planning, and organizing administrative duties; preparing meeting agendas and minutes; communicating orally and in writing to internal and external customers; researching various publications, manuals, handbooks, and policies; analyzing, extracting, tracking, summarizing, and compiling information for reporting and review; preparing correspondence; providing customers with consistent information according to established policies and procedures, ect
