This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Professional Work Category at the Entry/Developmental Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA ENTERPRISE ENGINEERING DIRECTORATE/OE31.

Duties

Executes testing using software development methodologies, architectural structures, viewpoints, styles, design decisions, and frameworks across all lifecycle phases. Serves in the development of integrated transition strategies, plans, and action plans to ensure that key programs are evolving within the framework of agreed upon information architectures. Makes critical analyses and evaluations of the ramifications, advisability, and impact of large engineering projects. Formulates, conducts, or participates in study projects to translate planning guidance and capability objectives into information systems. Works independently on continuing assignments or projects that require application of standard well-established principles, concepts, and techniques of the occupation.

Combination of education and experience -- college-level education, training, and/or technical experience that furnished (1) a thorough knowledge of the physical and mathematical sciences underlying professional engineering, and (2) a good understanding, both theoretical and practical, of the engineering sciences and techniques and their applications to one of the branches of engineering. Education
