Duties
You will supervise four attorneys and serve as a resource for attorneys on a diverse range of legal issues that include, but are not limited to acquisition law, contract dispute litigation, fiscal law, suspension and debarment.
You will maintain an independent caseload of priority matters, refer entities to the AGC (AI) for the consideration of suspension and/or debarment.
You will pursue monetary recoveries associated with acquisition fraud matters, develop and provide acquisition fraud training.
You will represent AIO at various functions within the Government or in meetings with industry counsel and ethics and compliance officials.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
The opening will be filled under the General Schedule (GS) at the GS-15 pay grade and precise pay will be set commensurate with the successful applicant's qualifications, funding availability, and GS pay guidelines. To be eligible for selection, applicants must have at least five and one-half years of relevant professional legal experience.
Candidates will be evaluated on: 1) supervisory, management, or leadership experience, 2) depth, breadth, and quality of legal experience in corporate ethics and compliance; Federal audits, inquiries, or investigations; Federal acquisition law; Federal suspension/debarment; and/or Federal criminal, civil, or administrative litigation; 3) strength of interpersonal skills; 4) demonstrated excellence in written and oral communications and legal analysis; and 5) demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships with senior civilian or military clients, other Federal government agencies, and/or private sector counsel or industry representatives. Acquisition experience within the DON and/or the DOD will be favorably considered. Applicants with a record of making significant contributions to the advancement of DON OGC or equivalent Office of the General Counsel or Law Firm/Office beyond the day-to-day legal practice are desired.
The successful applicant must have graduated from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association, be an active member in good standing of the bar of the highest court of a State, U.S. Commonwealth, U.S. territory, or the District of Columbia, and be admitted to practice before a state or federal court. U.S. citizenship is a requirement of the position, and the successful applicant must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET level security clearance.
