Duties
You will serve as Deputy Director Naval Legal Service Command Trial Counsel Assistance Program (TCAP)
You will serve as a Supervisory Attorney Advisor performing the full range of supervisory duties for subordinate personnel
You will provide full spectrum advice, assistance, support and resources to Navy Trial Counsel (prosecutors) worldwide
You will serve as a subject matter expert in advising the Director, Region Legal Service Offices Operations on all military justice matters concerning Region Legal Service Offices worldwide
You will provide in person, on-site training to Region Legal Service Offices (RLSOs) worldwide
You will serve as the liaison between the TCAP and the Naval Justice School (NJS) on all courses intended to train judge advocates on all matters related to prosecution
You will create and promulgate resources, written advice, trial tips and advisory notices on prosecution topics, and for creating exportable training modules for RLSOs to implement for all aspects of litigation training
You will serve as subject matter expert and senior legal consultant, providing both proactive and reactive advice to the field on substantive courts-martial charging recommendations, rules of evidence and procedure, and trial tactics and strategies
You will analyze data relating to prosecutions and formulating strategies and policies to address noted deficiencies
You will review draft opinions, correspondence and policies pertaining to prosecution
You will work using knowledge of Title 10 of U.S. Code, Department of Defense and Navy regulations, and the Uniform Code of Military Justice
Requirements

- You must possess a Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school
- You must be a member in good standing of the bar of the highest court of a State within the United States or the District of Columbia
- You may be required to successfully complete a probationary/trial period
- You will be required to perform occasional travel
Qualifications
Your application must show that you meet the following:
1.) You possess a Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school and are a member in good standing of the bar of the highest court of a State within the United States or the District of Columbia.
2.) You have demonstrated extensive experience knowledge, skill and aptitude litigating criminal cases in State and Federal jurisdictions
3) You have demonstrated exceptional proficiency in public speaking and teaching complex litigation skills, procedural rules, evidentiary concepts and trial strategy to trial attorneys
4) You have experience in the development and implementation of curricula and training targeted to prosecutorial specializations.
5) You have demonstrated experience exercising supervisory authorities and responsibilities
6) You have experience overseeing fiscal responsibilities
