This position is part of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for serving as principal advisor to the Director of the Research, Analysis and Lessons Learned Institute at the Defense Security Cooperation University.
Duties
As a SUPV PROGRAM MANAGER (RESEARCH APPLICATION) at the GS-0340-14 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Serving as principal advisor to the Director of the Research, Analysis, and Lessons Learned Institute at the Defense Security Cooperation University, concerning programs, initiatives, and procedures affecting Institute requirements and operations.
Providing leadership for business operations planning, development, and execution.
Coordinating and collaborating with faculty leads to ensure business operations support accomplishment of program goals and objectives.
Directing the day-to-day business operations necessary to provide or obtain a variety of management services essential to the direction and operation of the Institute.
Participating in executive planning sessions involving implementation of sensitive programs and/or special projects which have the potential of impacting or modifying the manner that the Institute conducts business.
Directing the work of the Research Application staff that oversees use of research and analysis of security cooperation programs and activities to capture and share lessons learned that support the practice of security cooperation and advance national security goals and objectives.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service:
Leading and supervising a diverse team of individuals to include assigning duties, prioritizing projects, evaluating performance and providing guidance on complex and/or unique assignments;
Evaluating business operations;
Formulating and implementing business operations policies, procedures, and programs
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
