Duties
Drafts and issues interpretations of the Command's budgetary guidance, supplemental guidance, and instructions to major subordinate troop units and the Special Forces Group’s headquarters staff.
Finalizes budget schedules and mechanized report data for assigned troop units and staff elements.
Prepares a variety of reports covering the status of funds, expenses, and obligations for each program of the subordinate troop units and the headquarters staff element.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires a SECRET security clearance.
- This position requires TDY travel 10% of the time.
- This Position require incumbent to obtain Financial Management certification within two years of appointment and maintain certification for duration of employment.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing a variety of budget oversight functions in the formulation, execution, and presentation of the operating budget. Providing budgetary guidance, supplemental guidance and instructions to subordinate units and headquarters on budget execution program as well as analyzing instructions from higher echelons as to its application to the unique operating environment in the pacific. Basic knowledge of Military Interdepartmental Purchase Request and contract formulation. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration and Finance, etc.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
