Duties

Perform administrative work in support of the operations and training activities. Ensure training needs are identified, projected and documented for assigned organization. Perform inspections to ensure units comply with directives. Maintain compliance with mission command systems.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires reporting to work during periods of inclement weather.
  • This position requires a valid/unrestricted state Driver's License.
  • One year probationary period may be required.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY) is required 5% of the time.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (GS-07) which includes demonstrated experience 1) assisting with answering training questions for assigned organization; 2) preparing correspondence, forms, reports, etc. with automated data processing equipment; 3) preparing training reports; 4) enrolling students in training; 5) and/or updating training records for employees. OR Education: Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in Training and Development or Business Administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementCommunicationsComputer SkillsEducation and Training Program Administration Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
