About the Position: Fort Leonard Wood is located in the beautiful South-Central Missouri Ozarks. The Fort covers more than 61,000 acres and is located in Pulaski County, bordering Waynesville/St. Robert and Interstate 44. St. Louis is a 2-hour drive east and Springfield is a 1-hour drive west of Fort Leonard Wood.

Duties

Prepare purchase request to purchase supplies. Reconcile monthly government purchase card statement. Confer with the requestors to obtain correct information concerning types of materials and quantity of supplies and services needed. Monitor delinquent customer accounts and assist units in reestablishing tolerance. Participate in budget planning analyses and reporting. Provide data concerned with cost, performance, manpower utilization to management for review. Maintain vendor and catalog files in order to identify sources for government purchase card. Prepare requisition and turn-in documents as necessary to adjust on-hand balances to authorized levels.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • The employee may be required to work overtime to include weekends and federal holidays, out of cycle, or unscheduled training or on an emergency basis.
  • Incumbent is subject to a medical clearance examination. This position may require an annual physical or medical surveillance examination.
  • This position requires the employee drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver's license is required and must be maintained for the position.
  • Incumbent will be required to pass and maintain forklift operator certification.
  • This position may require changes in work schedule. Management will, in advance, reschedule the employee's regularly scheduled administrative workweek to correspond with the specific days and hours required to accomplish the mission.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY) Travel may be required up to 5%.
