You will serve as a SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST in the Office of Civilian Human Resources Silverdale Operations Center, Staffing Department, Data Integrity Branch. If you are an employee of UIC 69207 and currently on an approved remote work agreement, you will remain on that current remote agreement if selected. and If you are an employee of UIC 69207 and currently not on an approved remote agreement, selection for this position does not infer that remote work is guaranteed.

Duties

You will perform a full range of technical and administrative supervisory functions for employees involved in the provision of analytical and administrative support functions related to data integrity and knowledge management. You will ensure timely and accurate personnel processing and staffing data integrity throughout the organization. You will study workload management reports and automated systems to make informed decisions regarding assignments, priorities, and deadlines. You will monitor performance and provide timely feedback on meeting expectations and identify unacceptable performance during the appraisal cycle in order to provide assistance to improve performance. You will analyze trends on a quantitative and qualitative basis and forecast changes in workforce requirements to determine innovative methods to address and resolve complex HR issues. You will perform quality control reviews of subordinate’s work and assign quality control review assignments to assigned senior specialists.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing and interpreting HR regulations, policies, and processes to ensure the integrity of data contained in HR Information Systems while also providing technical advice in the resolution of problems related to HR Information Systems and the processing of personnel actions.
