Duties
You will serve as the managerial point of contact for Information Security as well as Information Technology system security.
You will implement information security policy, procedure, and directives.
You will track compliance and disseminate information for security awareness.
You will work with vulnerability scanning tools and enforce SCAP/STIG compliance. Utilize Cyber security tools to deliver, maintain, and review A and A documentation and workflow.

You will develop documentation for Certification and Accreditation (C and A) as required under Risk Management Framework (RMF).
You will utilize Marine Corps Certification and Accreditation Support Tool (MCCAST) to complete DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) validations.
You will conduct direct coordination with Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to ensure compliance with network C and A requirements and the maintenance of the current Authorization to Operate (ATO)
Requirements

- This position requires the completion of certifications for IA (Information Assurance) Manager Level II within 6 months of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing Information Security (IS) and Security Inspection and Management including installing, configuring, monitoring and troubleshooting proxy web servers, firewall equipment, and intrusion detection equipment.
Additionally, you must possess one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Configuring classified and unclassified level firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and security servers to ensure operating systems are properly configured and security features are properly set according to local network security policy and procedures;
2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: providing assistance to customers in resolving operating problems to existing systems or equipment;
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Providing assistance and/or training to Information Technology staff and end-users with solving routine to moderate networking problems associated with access through installed security architecture;
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include Analyzing and recommending corrective actions to unauthorized access or security violations.
