Duties
Serves as the Training and Curriculum Specialist responsible for planning, coordinating, developing and maintaining subject matter curriculum for all programs in the for all programs in the Behavioral Programs Branch of Marine and Family Programs Division. In coordination with program managers who are subject matter experts for their programs and other designated subject matter experts, the incumbent employs appropriate learning theories and evidence-based practices of educational psychology to determine the learning objectives and task learning relationships, cluster learning events, organize course content, and develop instruction design plans; analyzes learning problems, selects teaching strategies using appropriate models, and develops course plans using this information; identifies tasks that can be efficiently and effectively supported by job or skill performance aids, selects suitable performance measures or develops new measures required to document effectiveness; develops learning maps and performs learning analyses from the initial training levels through the operating levels of tasks or jobs; derive performance objectives and criterion test items, and uses a systems approach to training.

Qualifications
Bachelor¿s degree in instructional design, educational psychology, human services or related field appropriate to the work of this position, and three years of experience in the curriculum development occupation, or a related field or work area. Knowledge of a variety of training delivery systems, such as classroom, synchronous and asynchronous web-based. Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects. A thorough understanding of the Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM®). A thorough understanding of the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) instructional design model. A thorough understanding of the principles of adult learning.Must have experience that demonstrates: exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, with all levels of an organization; skills to provide technical advice and assistance to program managers in the development of curriculum to support all programs in the Behavioral Programs branch; skills in instructional design methodologies; skills to identify training requirements and incorporate Headquarters directives into designated training plans; skills in measurement and evaluation of training initiatives. Must demonstrate proven proficiency in implementing Master Trainer and Train-The-Trainer instruction and proficiency in instructional design and curriculum development.
