You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT ASSISTANT in the ADMINISTRATIVE DEPARTMENT of NAVAVNFCSTCEN.
Duties
You will manage the calendars of the Commanding Officer (CO), Executive Officer (EO), and the Senior Enlisted Leader (SEL).
You will schedule meetings, interviews, and resolve any scheduling conflicts as required.
You will maintain the VIP telephone list and answer, screen and route incoming telephone calls in the front office.
You will make official travel arrangements for the CO, EO and SEL based on general travel intentions, known preference of traveler, and in accordance with appropriate travel regulations.
You will schedule transportation, hotel and government reservations in a timely manner.
You will accurately prepare, review and confirm all travel requests for the CO, OX, and SEL, using the Defense Travel System (DTS).
You will maintain ongoing contact with the CO, XO and SEL throughout their travel schedules.
You will prepare, review, and format official correspondence for signatures, for applicable Department of Defense (DOD) or Navy Directives, in accordance with SECNAV M-5216.5.
You will correct and prepare officer fitness reports and E-6 to E-9 performance evaluations in accordance with BUPERSINST 1610.10 (series) and other applicable Navy or command directives.
You will prepare command awards for officer and enlisted personnel; to include Mid-Tour (MT) and End-Of-Tour (EOT) awards, in accordance with SECNAVINST 1650.1 (series) and other applicable Navy or command directives.
You will create and prepare certification reports for signature and forward to servicing PSD via the Transaction Online Processing System (TOPS).
You will liaison with the Budget and Supply Departments for the provision of necessary administrative supplies for front office personnel.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
- This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
Qualifications
GS-07
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience with staffing and placement policy and procedures sufficient enough to conduct hiring conversations with selecting officials.
Experience using commercially available platforms (i.e. Monster, Career Builder, Handshake, Indeed, etc.) to screen applicants.
Experience designing and implementing the overall e-recruitment strategies for all serviced customers, planning and preparing short and long-range e-recruitment plans.
Experience preparing and delivering complex information briefs to a large and diverse audiences.
Experience developing and executing engagement and outreach initiatives (i.e. academia, private and public sectors, host job fair).
Experience maintaining database/management information systems to track a variety of hiring metrics and preparing reports for executives to make well-informed decisions relative to recruitment.
GS-06
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience with standardized administrative rules, policies, regulations, procedures and systems applicable to the Navy.
Experience with mailing and filing systems, official travel regulations, fitness reports and enlisted performance evaluations.
Experience with a variety of Department of Navy publications (i.e., DON Correspondence Manual, Navy Directives Issuance System, Standard Subject Identification Codes, DON Records Management Program).
Experience with a variety of computer application software (MS Office, Navy Standard Integrated Personnel System (NSIPS) for E-Leave, Outlook).
Experience with creating flyers and developing Power point slides.
