About the Position: This position is located at the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM); the Army's materiel integrator for command, control, communications, computers, cyber, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C5ISR) readiness; supporting our Soldiers' ability to protect our Nation and way of life.
Duties
Senior action officer and subject matter expert for assigned mission areas.
Coordinate, integrate, and synchronize command-level operational information, including operational information reporting.
Utilize analysis tools and methods to evaluate mission performance to make informed decisions.
Conduct advance Planning Briefings to Industry, VIP visits and senior level meetings.
Present Commander Briefings, weekly Situation reports, and Operations/Intelligence Briefings.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
- Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) required 25% of the time
- Subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
Qualifications
This is a DoD Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (AcqDemo) position in the NH-03 broadband with an advertised pay range from the lowest equivalent GS 12 grade Step 01 to the highest equivalent GS 13 grade step 10 in the broadband. This Senior Professional non-supervisory position is covered by control points to account for variances in position responsibilities within the broadband. Management will set the selectee's pay for this position within the control point salary range consistent with the qualifications and education of the selectee and the expected contribution for the position.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Coordinate variety of management functions within mission areas, identifying impacts, challenges, and solutions for senior leaders; (2) Conduct command synchronization review of higher Headquarter regulations, policies, and operation orders for organizational elements; and (3) Utilize analysis tools and methods to evaluate and improve overall command sustainment programs and policy effectiveness.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02/GS-11).
