Duties

You will inspect all aspects of the facilities and facility infrastructure associated with MCB Quantico. You will inspect complex systems that are manufactured or repaired by highly skilled craftsmen. You will prepare written inspection reports indicating condition and makes recommendations for repair or replacement and for input into the yearly CORRS submission. You will provide rough labor and material cost estimates for repair or replacement or base facilities. You will assist the public works planning section with input bon repair and replacement projects for future HQMC validation. You will monitor contracts, coordinate repairs and inspect projects.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain a current government motor vehicle operators license
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
• You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

Qualifications

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO INSPECT to include: Inspect PCB transformers, underground storage tanks, unfired pressure vessels, and/or oil/water separators.
