Qualifications
We are looking for at least one year of specialized experience related to this position as described below:
To qualify for the GS-14 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-13 level defined as planning, monitoring, and analyzing a range of activities to evaluate program effectiveness; providing advice to management to help identify and resolve problems; developing and/or interpreting guidance relating to program planning and evaluation for program activities; and effectively communicating scientific, technical, or administrative information to a diverse audience.
Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas:
Expert knowledge of CWA and SDWA program principles, concepts, practices, methods & techniques
Ability to complete work independently and under tight deadlines
Ability to analyze and evaluate water program information and data to support senior management decision making
Skill in written communication
Skill in oral communication
Participate in Agency initiatives
Ability to effectively represent water programs internally and externally
Ability to lead and work in teams
Experience with tribal environmental directors and/or staff
Experience with Grants, Cooperative Agreements
Building coalitions and engaging officials
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
