You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGMENT SPECIALIST within HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND.

Duties

You will plan, execute, and assess joint training and exercises. You will manage readiness, doctrine, and lessons learned. You will provide modeling and simulation support for USPACOM joint training and exercise program. You will conduct interviews, reviews clearance requests documents, and processes requests through the special security office. You will ensure the office is effectively managed and resolves various problems and situations. You will develop new ways to improve accuracy, adequacy and timeliness of the administrative functions of the office.

Requirements

  • Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

For GS-09 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience performing analytical and evaluative methods and techniques for assessing program development or execution and improving organizational effectiveness and efficiency equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing all of the following: 1) Performing administrative analysis and technical and management duties. 2) Compiling instructions for major administrative and policy matters and recommending courses of action to be taken and implementation procedures or revisions required. 3) Coordinating the procurement of administrative supplies and equipment, reproductions, space management and facilities equipment maintenance. 4) Advising employees and supervisors on a variety of procedural and policy matters, pertaining to human resources policies and procedures. 5) Skills in managing and administering an organization's security program. For GS-07 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
For GS-09
Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR
