As the Chief of the Financial Systems and Data Division, the incumbent directs and manages the activities of a newly established division focused on oversight of financial systems and data. The incumbent supervises two newly established branches: one that directs the management and integration of financial systems and capabilities within the OCFO and across the DCSA enterprise, and another that oversees the development and management of DCSA's Financial Management (FM).

Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position.
You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade (GS/GG-14) in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility. Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience.
Specialized experience for this position includes:
Experience in financial system activities and data architecture supporting resource management, accounting and time and attendance functions
Directing and managing activities of a newly established division focused on oversight of financial systems and data;
Providing expert advice, assistance, direction, policy guidance, and technical analysis;
Oversight of a team of financial systems, data specialists, analysts and/or accountants;
Recommending courses of actions to address deficiencies;
Reviewing internal controls to ensure compliance;
Developing solutions for problems; Skill in preparing, analyzing, and interpreting a wide range of financial management information; Skill in designing financial data queries and reports using business intelligence tools and applications.
Specifically you will be evaluated on the following competencies:
1. Financial Concepts, Policies, and Principles: Apply fiscal law, policies, regulations, principles, standards and procedures to financial management activities.
2. Information Management: Identifies a need for and knows where or how to gather information; organizes and maintains information or information management systems.
