About the Position: This position is located at the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCOE), Fort Moore, Ga. The MCOE is located 100 miles south of Atlanta, Georgia, and is adjacent to Columbus, Georgia and Phenix City, Alabama. The geography and climate are ideal for year round military training.

Duties

Manages and process assignments in Intergrated Personnel and Pay System - Army. Review and validate reports for timeliness, completeness and accuracy. Coordinate effective operation of Military Personnel workstations during Soldiers Readiness Processing (SRP). Process Soldier Actions and Military Personnel File (MPF) updates using IPPS-A. Process Separation/Retirement orders and DD214s.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Overtime and shift work may be required on short notice to include nights, holidays, and weekends in support of related mission requirements.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which include: Updating military personnel records, processing Soldier actions and reassignment permanent change of station orders all using the Integrated Personnel and Pay System-Army (IPPS-A), Creating Installation Level In/out Processing schedules using the Installation Support Module (ISM), Generating separation and retirement DD214s and separation orders using Transition Processing (TRANSPROC), and Updating family members eligibility, issuing the Common Access Card (CAC) and USID ID Card in the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-05. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: ClericalHuman Resources Technology UsageManages and Organizes InformationTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
