You will serve as a SUPERVISORY TECHNICIAN in one of two branches within the Digital Engineering Department (D00) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER, Port Hueneme, California.
Duties
You will perform a range of duties and responsibilities to assure the work of your assigned Branch (In-Service Engineering, Systems and Hardware Engineering, test and Evaluation, Software Enginering, Cyber Security) is successfully accomplished,
You will apply your experience in the technical principles and concepts of Weapon/Combat/Missile systems to the provision of test and evaluation, fleet support and in-service engineering for various platforms and firing units,
You will manage a multi-disciplinary workforce (e.g., engineers, technicians, logisticians and contractors)
You will ensure the NSWC PHD strategic plan, mission, vision and values are communicated to the team and integrated into the team’s strategies, goals, objectives, work plans, products and services,
You will oversee team plans and budgets, assign and review employee’s work, resolve simple, informal employee complaints, and report accomplishments, problems and progress to the Division Manager,
You will develop budget requirements, proposals, and Work Breakdown Structures; develop and execute spend plans, and monitor branch financial status,
You will develop, execute and mange product delivery schedules, monitor technical performance, and analyze new developments for potential application to program requirements,
You will monitor and evaluate performance, establish priorities, assign work and adjust workloads, and advise and counsel subordinate employees,
You will communicate formally and informally to mid- and senior-level leaders on technical, programmatic, financial and administrative efforts to support products and services provided to the Fleet and program office customers.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) or grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying electronics technician concepts and practices to the technical and administrative leadership of teams in the development or in-service engineering of shipboard weapon/combat/missile systems to ensure system lifecycle requirements are achieved.
