You will serve as a Security Specialist in the office of the Commander, Airborne Command & Control Logistics Wing of COMAEWINGPAC.

Duties

You will maintain personnel records related to programmatic access and provides risk evaluation for personnel security regarding foreign nationals, foreign travel, and liaises with NCIS as necessary. You will establish and maintain electronic and paper facility records for the Commander, Airborne Command and Control Logistics Wing West Coast. You will serve as SAP Personnel Security Official (SPO) responsible for drafting, reviewing, processing, confirming, and forwarding for further confirmation processing, Program Access Request (PAR) packages. You will oversee visitor access to the Commander, Airborne Command and Control Logistics West Coast SAP spaces for conferences, meetings, and discussions. You will plan, host, and support highly classified meetings attended by senior Naval, DoD civilian, and contractor personnel involving SAP systems or information. You will be responsible for all elements of Special Access program physical, personnel, and Automated Information Security (AIS) per DOD/DON directives and policy. You will provide an understanding of the technical and tactical capabilities of assigned programs, with regard to aircraft capabilities and training systems, of assigned programs. You will provide guidance and recommendations to Facility Operations Specialists assigned to COMACCLOGWING facilities in order to maintain physical accreditation of classified spaces. You will Serve as the sole communicator of security requirements to construction entities (NAVFAC, US Army Corps of Engineers, etc.) and will ensure ICD 705 compliance is met for all SCIFs and SAPFs. You will develop, implement and support SAP security training geared to the unique needs of the cognizant security personnel of subordinate operational units or activities. You will be developing and presenting indoctrinations of highly technical and sensitive special programs with specialized briefings as required. You will provide security management, training, and administrative expertise for the implementation of SCI within COMACCLOGWING, its staff, and throughout the fleet squadrons.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • A non-disclosure agreement/statement must be signed.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • The incumbent must exercise the utmost diligence and integrity in safeguarding classified materials under his/her purview.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain further adjudication by CNO N89 for access to Special Access Programs (SAP).
  • This position requires the ability to lift and/or carry loads/items up to 40 pounds in weight.
  • MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
  • Willing and able to undergo reoccurring polygraph examinations.
  • This position requires the ability to climb ladders and scaffolding.
  • This position requires the ability to work in small and/or confined spaces.
  • This position requires "regular contact with children" which requires a State Criminal History Repository (SCHR) check to be completed on any person selected for this position.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing security management, training, and administrative expertise for Special Access Programs (SAP) to protect information, materials, equipment, and processes to ensure operational security.
