This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Office of Finance (FN).
This position(s) primary purpose is to support the Office of Finance (FN), with administration functions; provide system testing, documentation, and communications support for system configuration and business process changes; provide help desk support to users DEA wide.

As a Financial Management Systems Specialist, your typical work assignments may include:
Providing technical front-line assistance to DEA users in several financial management systems/applications.
Developing and maintaining a variety of system documentation and guidance (e.g., Desk reference guides, Job aids, Newsletters and bulleting's) to address financial system application issues, processes, and enhancements.
Performing system and regression testing.
Developing requirements for reports and applications to supplement financial business processes.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet the Specialized Experience requirements as noted below. Qualification claims will be subject to verification.
GS-11:
Education: Three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree NOTE: Graduate education must provide the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
OR
Experience: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level in the normal line of progress for the occupation in the organization. To be creditable, this experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular qualifications to perform successfully the duties of the position, and must typically be in or related to the position to be filled.
Specialized experience is defined as: 1) assisting with financial systems testing, 2) documenting and communicating support for financial systems testing results; 3) analyzing financial reporting and application systems 4) reviewing systems documents related to financial management.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
