You will serve as a PRODUCTION PROJECT MANAGER in the OPERATIONS - 300G of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

Duties

You will exercise both administrative and technical supervision over subordinates assigned to the Production Project Team. You will give advice, counsel and instruction to individual employees on both technical and administrative matters. Interviews candidates for positions in the department. You will Identify developmental and training needs of employees and makes provision for such development and training. You will supervise for establishing and maintaining an efficient and economical position structure which will best serve mission needs by providing the optimum balance between such elements as economy, efficiency, skills utilization. You will receive and analyze work assignments (Job Order, Key Op or job order summaries and Task Group Instructions) from planning section, reviews the scope of the work and resolves problems with Project Planning.

  • This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
  • May be required to obtain a VISA dependent on the overseas country's laws/regulations.
  • You will be required to sign the Statement of Understanding for Overseas Employment acknowledging receipt and understanding of the statement of living and working conditions for this location.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying principles, concepts, and practices related to shipyard work operations, control system requirements, trade and shop practices; analyzing, evaluating, and adjusting project resources, work operations equipment and facilities against current and future schedule work requirements; and coordinating work plans and working with a variety of different trades and technical processes.
