You will serve as a TELECOMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST in the Communications and Information Systems Department (S-6) of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP BLAZ.
Duties
You will analyze and provide oversight regarding the development of projected costs for life cycle management (LCM) of telecommunications assets, including maintenance criteria, considering all applicable policies and quality control.
You will evaluate contractor's ITS and ICDS proposals and designs to resolve disagreements and effectively collaborate with and influence other technical communications personnel and ability to monitor contractor's work.
You will interpret broad DoD guidance and extends it through policy developed for the areas of responsibility.
You will confer with other services, agencies, and organizations on developing policy to meet both supported Marine Forces and Base Operating Support ITS needs.
You will be responsible for advising/coordinating and/or developing/implementing polices to meet present and future MCB Camp Blaz needs regarding such IT/Telecommunications issues.
You will determine required ITS and ICDS actions, establishing schedules, and ensuring the availability of adequate funds, personnel, and maintenance support.

- This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing projects of Installation Communication Distribution System (ICDS) and information technology services (voice, video, and data) (ITS).
