You will serve as a WORK INTEGRATION MANAGER (BRANCH MANAGER) in Code 124, Ocean Engineering Department of PSNS and IMF.
Duties
You will be responsible for all Alteration Installation Team (AIT) actions, engineering changes, integration, mobilization, installation, removal and logistics activities for approved TEMPALT ship sets.
You will coordinate all Department maintenance actions conducted by Shipyard and supporting activities (Contractors, Fleet).
You will take appropriate action to eliminate technical and procurement roadblocks whenever possible and resolve problems before they impact cost and schedule.
You will plan and assign work, develop performance standards and evaluate work performance of subordinates.
You will influence managers or other officials to accept and implement findings and recommendations on organizational improvement or program effectiveness.
You will interface with Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Type Commander (TYCOM), Fleet Maintenance Activities, and Contractors regarding all aspects of TEMPALT installations.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Must successfully pass a Counter-Intelligence (CI) Polygraph on a random basis not to exceed every 5 years in the performance of the position.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning and executing ship or submarine repair, alteration, or maintenance projects including technical problem solving, overseeing funding requirements and administering assigned work, to ensure projects are completed timely and comply with requirements.
