You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the Crane Engineering Technical Branch (Code 213), Crane Engineering and Inspection Division (Code 210), Lifting and Handling Department (Code 200), Trident Rift Facility (TRIREFFAC), Kings Bay, Georgia of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.

Duties

You will review and crane maintenance packages. You will publish daily status reports. You will review planned acquisitions and give feedback on existing equipment to recommend changes to design. You will perform troubleshooting on difficult problems to avoid prolonged equipment down time. You will review completed work and an assessment of the crane's material condition prior to having quality assurance inspectors inspect the crane.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

Qualifications

GS-11 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Specialized. Examples of 1) Experience planning, scheduling, coordinating, and assuring effectiveness of maintenance and repair services provided by Navy and contractor organizations. 2) Experience using various types of cranes such as but not limited to: Portal, Gantry and Cab Operated Gantry. 3) Experience reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawing, and using common mechanical and electrical measuring tools. 4) Experience interpreting and applying contract and engineering specifications, regulations, manufactures' data, and similar guidelines material. 5) Experience researching, identify crane replacement parts for critical components and preparing reports and written technical material.
