Duties
You will serve as a Supervisory Engineering Technician in the Industrial Division (SPK15), Operations Management Department (SPK10) of Strategic Weapons Facility Atlantic (SWFLANT), Kings Bay, Georgia.
You will be responsible for selecting, developing, and supervising a subordinate staff to accomplish the work required in the Industrial Division.
You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.
You will evaluate requirements for Strategic Weapons System (SWS) and Nuclear Weapon Systems (NWS) facilities, modifications to existing facilities, and/or disposition of existing facilities.
You will support the research, development, design, evaluation, construction, inspection, production, application, standardization, testing, or
operation of engineering facilities, structures, systems, processes, equipment, devices, or materials.
You will manage a cost-effective maintenance and sustainment program through contracts and in coordination with local Public Works Department (PWD) and Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) and their processes.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NJ-03 (GS-11 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: leading teams in the application of engineering theories to evaluate construction plans or specifications and develop plans, field surveys, technical studies or estimates for construction, alteration, sustainment or repair of facilities.
