Duties
You will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of network equipment, to include voice, video, and data systems.
You will provide technical guidance and operational expertise to Network Engineering Teams.
You will ensure the appropriate operational security posture is maintained for network information systems and that the systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and procedures.
You will configure, , install, and maintain a multi-level security data transport network, to include workstations, servers, routers, switches, and firewalls.
You will perform system monitoring and verify the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources and systems.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final top secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 441 level Basic (B) within 12 months of appointment.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DS-02 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Understanding of network infrastructure; 2) Monitoring network and reporting outages; 3) Configuring network systems for test events; 4) Interacting with customers and providing technical guidance.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
master's degree or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree
