About the Position: Serve as the Branch Chief, Special Agent Management Branch with responsibility for the operation of the Military and Civilian Special Agent Accreditation and Accessions programs as well as the military and civilian annual recognition program and Hall of Fame program throughout the command.

Duties

Manage personnel in performance areas encompassing recruiting and accession programs for military Special Agent criminal investigative personnel. Evaluates the content of new Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of the Army (DA) policies and guidance for impact on USACIDC programs and translates policies and guidance into program goals and objectives. Exercise supervisory control over assigned military and civilian personnel. Use information management software programs to develop and maintain modules utilized to track criminal investigator life-cycle management. Plan, initiate, and conduct studies to determine the effectiveness of ongoing Special Agent recruiting and accessions, accreditation, recognition, and Hall of Fame programs and policies. Prepare and present briefings on the variety of topics involved in the recruiting, accessions, and accreditation programs and explaining current or new policies and programs.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: manage personnel in performance areas encompassing recruiting and accession programs; analyze operations for effectiveness and develops proposals to enhance current operations; evaluate reports, statements, and requests concerning Special Agent recruiting, accessions and accreditation programs; and present briefings on topics involved in the recruiting, accessions, and accreditation programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: LeadershipManaging Human ResourcesPlanning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13). Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements and minimum qualification requirements prescribed by OPM within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
