About the Position: Winn Army Community Hospital at Fort Stewart, GA. Work is in an office setting with some daily administrative work in the medical supply warehouse. Routine work hours are 0730-1630 Monday - Friday. Occasional overtime is required mainly during fiscal year end closeout and fiscal year end beginning.

Duties

Orders expendable and durable medical and non-medical supplies through various vendors. Follows up on orders. Assist customers identify and obtain standardized medical supply items. Train customers on advanced features of medical supply system. Manage supply levels and reorder points for supply items stocked in the warehouse. Review daily, weekly, and monthly Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) computer generated manager referrals and determines requirement for stock.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position may require incumbent to travel up to 5% of the time.
  • Inclement Weather Essential - The incumbent will be required to report to work during times of natural disasters, extreme weather or other emergency situations.

OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as supply chain management or logistics. (NOTE: MUST submit a copy of your transcript with your application package or you will be rated ineligible.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. ((NOTE: MUST submit a copy of your transcript with your application package or you will be rated ineligible.) You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Computer SkillsSupply Inventory ManagementSupply PlanningSupply Support Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
