The incumbent is a working leader for housekeeping operations in all areas of the sanitation section and linen distribution section at the North Texas VA Healthcare System. The primary purpose of the position is to Lead and perform hospital housekeeping duties.
Duties
Leads Housekeeping Aids, Compensated Work Therapy (CWT) and Incentive Therapy (IT) workers within the facility.
Lead employees in performing work while he/she performs the full range of housekeeping tasks required to maintain the Medical Center in an aesthetic and aseptic condition.
Passes on instructions from the supervisor to the employees and checks work to verify the work was completed.
Works with the employees, sets the pace, demonstrates methods and techniques, obtains supplies and equipment while answering questions and makings sure all tasks are complete and deadlines are met.
Reports to the supervisor the status and progress of work, any infractions of policies and procedures, and assures safety rules are followed.
Work Schedule: Monday - Sunday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm or 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm
