Duties
You will serve as the Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Analyst in Networks, Services and Strategy Branch (ICN), Command, Control, Communication and Computers (IC4) Division, Deputy Commandant Information (DCI), Headquarters, US Marine Corps.
Engages directly with and coordinates Marine Corps participation in working groups that emerge from SATCOM related work.
You will analyze, develop, and coordinate Marine Corps positions on C4 SATCOM related issues, then represents the Marine Corps at or prepares senior leaders for various SATCOM related forums to ensure Marine Corps equities are represented.
You will Monitors the progress and status of Marine Corps acquisition programs pertinent to SATCOM, ensuring that Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC), Command, Control, Communications, and Computers (C4) vision and policies are supported.
You will conduct research and analysis of SATCOM issues throughout the Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF).
You will provide fiscal and/or programmatic analysis of acquisition programs throughout DoD relevant to C6.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS- grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Overseeing a telecommunications program for a major agency organization; analyze, develop, and coordinates agency positions on satellite communication issues; monitoring the progress and status of agency acquisition programs pertinent to satellite communication; and, conducting research and analysis of acquisition programs.
