Duties
You will review the frequency assignment proposals of USMC units to determine whether or not these proposals, if approved would result in technical conflicts with existing frequency assignments.
You will review the frequency assignment proposals of USMC units for compliance with applicable policy, regulations and procedures, and recommend corrective action when necessary.
You will participate in a variety of intra-agency and interagency forums; review national rules, methods, policy and procedures pertinent to the frequency assignment function.
You will use the National Table of Frequency allocations, various assignment plans, restrictions, rules and procedures for authorizing frequency assignments.
You will maintain technical criteria for automated programs and data files which are used during the processing of frequency assignment applications.
You will prepare studies and analysis which depict trends of spectrum utilization and identify areas of the radio frequency spectrum which can be used to satisfy new requirements.

- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Administering short and long-range plans, procurement of electromagnetic spectrum resources, reviewing policy and procedures, and preparing studies and analysis to depict trends of radio frequency spectrum utilization.

Education
Education
Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- electrical or electronic engineering, mathematics, physics, public utilities, statistics, computer science, telecommunications management, information systems management, business administration, industrial management, or other fields related to the position to be filled.
Other Education: Communications/electronics or automatic data processing training in technical institutes or business schools above the high school level or in Armed Forces schools that included advanced instruction in addition to basic courses, may be substituted for general experience on a month-for-month basis.
