You will serve as an IT Specialist (INFOSEC) in the Information Technology & Cyber Security Division, Spectrum Warfare Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.
Duties
You will perform cyber security risk assessments, physical security assessments, user awareness training, and develop accreditation documentation.
You will coordinate with users to clarify requirements, obtain missing data, explain processing delays, discuss priority adjustment options, discuss alternative process methods and anticipated time of process completion.
You will participate in planned and unscheduled security inspections to include cybersecurity validations and command physical security inspections.
You will ensure cybersecurity incidents are reported and actions are taken in accordance with NAWCWD Incident Response Plan procedures.
You will promote cybersecurity awareness with lab management and users and provide annual training on topics such as data transfer procedures, incident response procedures, and command cybersecurity policies.

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 722 level Intermediate within 12 months of appointment.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band (DS-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to the following: 1) Performing responsibilities related to cybersecurity compliance, technical support and customer service for acquisition program/laboratory; 2) Demonstrating knowledge and experience of Risk Management Framework (RMF) to create, assess, and authorize documentation while managing continuous monitoring; 3) Applying basic cybersecurity principles, procedures, and mitigations to Platform IT systems; 4) Utilizing Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) requirements to support the implementation and evaluation of relevant STIGs.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
