You will serve as a SUPERVISORY CAPABILITIES DEPUTY BRANCH HEAD in the Marine Corps Engineer School (MCES), Training Command (TRNGCMD) of TRAINING AND EDUCATION COMMAND.

Duties

You will focus on all matters pertaining to the development of new equipment requirements and documentation to pursue new equipment sets for Fleet Marine Force (FMF) engineers. You will collaborate with senior staff officers to identify gaps or deficiencies impacting FMF engineers. You will conduct extensive research and collaborate with engineer community stakeholders to generate requirements documentation to identify potential solutions to identified capability gaps. You will serve as a coordination touchpoint for product demonstrations and vendor engagements. You will research new product developments that could change the way engineers are positioned and resourced in the future operating environment.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: focusing on matters pertaining to the development of new equipment requirements and documentation; identifying gaps or deficiencies impacting engineering capability; and performing extensive research on new product developments to serve as potential solutions to identified engineering capability gaps. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

Successful completion of 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

Possession of an LL.M., if related

or

A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience
