About the Position: Serves as a senior analyst, coordinator, Subject matter expert (SME), and/or project officer responsible for identifying and justifying specific requirements for materiel, equipment, and services in support of logistic operations of Support Operations (SPO) activities across the Army Sustainment Command (ASC).
Duties
Review and evaluate mission performance and compliance with established regulations/policies in execution of supply/maintenance operations.
Serves as a senior analyst, coordinator, Subject matter expert (SME), and/or project officer responsible for identifying and justifying specific requirements for materiel, equipment, and services in support of logistic operations of the command.
Analyze results of fact-finding studies, both internally and externally generated, and prepares comprehensive reports of conclusions and recommendations for headquarters policy determination or modification.
Develop and implement recommendations to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and timeliness of systems, procedures and programs.
Serve as a technical expert, advising the supervisor on overall management of assigned programs.
Provide advice in a staff capacity including recommendations on implementing command group and higher headquarters' directives to meet program requirements.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance. If the security clearance is denied or revoked, the individual may be denied or removed from the position, accordingly.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics Certification within 48 months of entrance on duty.
- Business travel required 20% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Preparing recommendations for change in logistics procedures and policies; 2) Resolving logistics issues for local operations; 3) Providing logistics analysis associated with performance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
